Ellam Kulati

Ellam Kulati is a postdoctoral researcher at CenEA, a position he has held since July 2026, having previously held the position of Ph.D. scholar (2020-2023) and served as a fellow (2023-2026) at the organization.

He received his Bachelor in Economics from the University of Nairobi in 2015, and holds both an M.A. (2019) and a Ph.D. (2026) in Economics from the University of Warsaw. His research spans the economics of ageing, household and labour economics, with a particular interest in well-being and the influences of various proximal (later-life) and distal (life course) factors. His work is available in journals such as the Journal of Economic Behaviour & Organization and the Journal of the Economics of Ageing.

Ellam is currently involved in time-use analysis as part of CenEA’s National Science Centre (NCN)-funded project: Changing Times: Work and Out-of-Work Time-Use Dynamics in the Context of Technological Changes and Global Shocks.
